When we talk about Bollywood music, the first name that comes to mind is Arijit Singh. Arijit has a fan following all over the world. Arijit performs in the majority of the movies in Bollywood. Arijit was born in Jiaganj, Murshidabad in West Bengal. He started learning and practising music in his house itself. Arijit’s Grandmother was a good singer and the plus point was that his grandfather was professionally trained in Indian classical music.

He learned to play music from his mother who was fond of playing the Indian musical instrument Tabla. He attended Raja Bijay Singh High School and Sripat Singh College, a University of Kalyani associate, for his academics. He was good in school but was passionate about music. Watching his interest in music his parents gave him professional training so he could get better at his music skills and build a career in the industry.

Arijit Singh learned Indian classical music from his mentor Rajendra Prasad Hazari, he learned tabla from Dhirendra Prasad Hazari and Birendra Prasad Hazari taught him Rabindra Sangeet and pop music.

Arijit Singh made his debut in the year 2005 in a reality show called Fame Gurukul he made it to the finals sadly he lost the final. He won the next reality show named 10 Ke 10 Le Gaye Dil. Arijit made good progress and also created his own recording setup and he never looked back.

Arijit Singh also worked as an assistant music programmer with Pritam Chakraborty, Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy, Vishal-Shekhar, and Mithoon. With the release of "Tum Hi Ho" from Aashiqui 2, he became extremely famous. In the 59th Filmfare Awards, he won Best Male Playback Singer for the song.
